About Me

Hello! My name is Jake Bontkowski. I am a User Experience (UI/UX) Designer and an Information Security Specialist. My skillset enables me to help people in all sorts of unique ways! I am passionate about my work and highly motivated to learn new skills and demonstrate what I can bring to the table.

I graduated from Bradley University in 2023 with a Bachelors of Science in User Experience Design (UI/UX) and a concentration in Cybersecurity. Shortly after, I achieved CompTIA Security+ ce Certification. I have 4 years of relevant design experience, 2 years of relevant InfoSec experience, and am always seeking new opportunities to make a difference!

Some Notable Achievements:

  • Graduated from Bradley University in 2023 with a Bachelors of Science in User Experience Design (UI/UX) and a concentration in Cybersecurity
  • Achieved CompTIA Security+ ce Certification on July 31st, 2023
  • Lead UX team through development of a TouchTable application for an interactive media (IM) exhibit at the Peoria, IL Riverfront Museum
  • Our application’s success won us the ‘excellence in design’ award presented by gaming company ‘Volition’ at the IM event ‘Fuse 2022’
  • Facilitated communications and efforts as the liaison for the physical and individual teams in a successful double-blind penetration test
  • Participated in a successful ‘on-site’ breach of client company and reported detailed vulnerability findings. P.S. This was so much fun
  • Received a presidential scholarship on the basis of academic excellence 
  • Worked alongside talented designers from both Caterpillar and OSF Healthcare
